Roadmap and Future Plans

This section provides a high-level overview of the plans for Midaz for the upcoming quarters. Please note that, as we are developing an open-source product, you are more than welcome to assist in the development of the features below or any improvement that makes sense for your specific use case. To do this, follow our community on Discord.

2024

Q2

  • 20/5 - GitHub repository opening*: we will open the repository on GitHub so that the community can follow the product's evolution and start using the code; and

  • 30/6 - Webhooks support: we will deliver the webhooks functionality to all the entities.

*: at the opening of the repository, the Onboarding and Portfolio domains will be available. The Transactions domain will be launched subsequently.

Q3

  • 15/7 - Launch of the Midaz MVP in open-source and SaaS versions: we will enable open-source users to clone the repository containing all the product's core features and allow SaaS model users to start using with the product management overseen by Lerian;

  • 31/7 - Launch of the Reports satellite: the Reports satellite will be responsible for dynamically creating accounting and regulatory reports in compliance with the laws of the countries where Midaz users are located (initially, it will include the main reports from Brazil);

  • 31/8 - Launch of the Fees satellite: the Fees satellite will be responsible for enhancing the robustness of fees charged by Midaz users to account holders, covering rollback flows, gratuity, and related aspects; and

  • 30/9 - Launch of the Exchange satellite: satellite responsible for obtaining quotations for asset pairs, such as BTCBRL, JPYUSD, and the like.

Q4

  • 15/10 - Launch of the Bulk Transfers satellite: responsible for carrying out batch transactions for cashback payments, internal promotions, giveaways, distribution of flight seats, and the like; and

  • 31/10 - Launch of the Midaz Marketplace: a satellite that will enable users to create solutions for Midaz and be rewarded based on community usage.

2025

Q1

  • Governance: the satellite responsible for controlling transaction limits by type, quarantine rules, approval flows, and other internal controls in the transaction lifecycle;

  • Smart contracts: a satellite responsible for smart contracts within Midaz. Widely used for scheduling transactions and flows of cryptocurrency tokens; and

  • Entities: a satellite responsible for the onboarding process of holders, whether individuals or legal entities, following the laws according to their country. It will also cover KYC flows using Artificial Intelligence models.

Q2

  • Dataviz: connector to Midaz Console for deeper data visualizations about the operation of the organization's ledgers, in addition to providing cost optimization suggestions and the like;

  • SSO / SAML: feature to connect the Console (in SaaS or open source versions) with the client's Authentication provider (like Okta, Super Gluu, and the like); and

  • Global Payments: the satellite responsible for movements in different currencies through FX and cross-border flows, for clients wishing to offer accounts with global transfers to their holders.

Q3

  • Credit operations: the satellite that will offer a credit engine using AI models and various features of the credit lifecycle, collections ruler, portfolio management, and the like;

  • Connectors: a satellite responsible for connecting the client's ledger with external transaction providers like Stripe, Shopify, Wise, and the like; and

  • Interests: a satellite responsible for calculating specific interests. Be it for remunerating bonds, charging revolving credit card interest, or loans.

Q4

  • Receivables advance: a satellite responsible for the receivables advance processes, commonly used in the acquirer's transactions;

  • Loans: the satellite responsible for loan flows, following relevant legislation for each type of account, country of residence, and currency used; and

  • Microservices: we will break our monolith into microservices.

At some point in the future

  • BaaS Providers: Integration with leading banking service providers in Brazil and the United States;

  • Bill Payments as a Service: the ability to pay bills using multiple Brazilian banks;

  • Bank slip: the ability to issue recharge and collection slips;

  • Processing and Issuing: the ability to issue and process card transactions in models with on-us balance, external authorizer, or even private label (closed loop);

  • Voucher: issuance of vouchers from platforms like Uber, iFood, Xbox Live, and the like; and

  • Insurance: the ability to issue insurance for cars, cell phones, life, home, and the like.
